Kaylee Newton, MSW, LICSW-S
Kaylee Newton is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about creating a counseling space where people feel seen, respected, cared for, and safe to fully be themselves. She understands that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving people feeling stuck, exhausted, hurt, confused, or weighed down by sadness and anxiety.
Kaylee believes therapy should be a place where clients can breathe, process honestly, laugh when needed, cry freely, and experience genuine rest and healing.
Kaylee approaches therapy with deep respect for each person’s story, believing our experiences, wounds, and struggles are sacred and worthy of compassionate care.
She considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they better understand themselves, their relationships, and the impact life experiences have had on the way they think, feel, and relate to the world.
Rather than positioning herself as someone with “all the answers,” Kaylee views therapy as a collaborative process of growth, curiosity, and healing. As someone who has personally experienced the value of therapy in her own life, relationships, and healing journey, she deeply understands the courage it takes to pursue counseling and the meaningful transformation that can come through the process.
Her counseling style is client-centered, trauma-informed, empathetic, and relaxed. Kaylee strives to meet clients exactly where they are while also gently challenging them toward growth and healing. She believes therapy can help people better understand the beliefs they hold about themselves, others, and the world, whether those beliefs were shaped by childhood wounds, relational pain, trauma, anxiety, or long-standing patterns of thinking.
Kaylee has been practicing therapy since 2020 and has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both outpatient and inpatient mental health settings.
She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from The University of Alabama and also completed graduate training in biblical counseling through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
She has specific training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy and utilizes a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs. Kaylee especially enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), self-esteem struggles, trauma, and spiritual difficulties.

Kaylee’s faith is an important part of her life, and she is happy to thoughtfully incorporate faith into the counseling process for clients who desire it. At the same time, she strongly believes everyone deserves compassionate, high-quality mental health care regardless of their faith background and is committed to creating a welcoming environment for all people.

Her desire is to walk alongside clients in reaching their goals by offering both support and gentle challenge, empowering them to better understand themselves and move toward healing, freedom, and meaningful growth.
