Becky Moerbe, MSSW, LICSW
Rebecca “Becky” Moerbe, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Alabama with more than 20 years of experience providing compassionate mental health support in a variety of settings, including hospitals, hospice care, outpatient counseling, and telehealth services. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and completed her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science at Concordia University Texas.

Becky works with adults and teens and has extensive
experience helping people navigate seasons of crisis, transition, and emotional pain. She has supported clients facing depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, caregiver stress, spiritual distress, adjustment difficulties, and major life changes related to health, family, or mental health concerns.
Her counseling style is warm, encouraging, honest, and deeply respectful, often accompanied by a gentle sense of humor that helps clients feel comfortable and at ease.
Becky believes healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. She creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences with honesty, curiosity, and compassion.
Becky highly values evidence-based care and thoughtfully adapts her therapeutic approach to best serve each individual client. She views trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundational tool in helping people develop healthy boundaries, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and move toward greater emotional freedom. She is also trained in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.

Her holistic and client-centered approach allows her to meet people where they truly are — emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually. Becky considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they process pain, gain deeper understanding of themselves, and move toward healing and growth. For clients who desire it, she is also honored to incorporate Christian faith and biblical principles into the counseling process.
Becky is passionate about empowering clients to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. She deeply respects the courage and vulnerability it takes to pursue counseling and believes meaningful change often begins with the willingness to lean into the discovery process.
