
Mary Emeline Dawson
Mary Emeline Dawson is a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s most difficult and meaningful seasons with honesty, hope, and healing. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Samford University, where she graduated with honors and received multiple academic distinctions.

With nearly a decade of experience in mental health care, Mary Emeline has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, Trauma, relationship struggles, addiction and recovery, self-harm, suicidality, and major life transitions.
Her clinical background includes crisis intervention, college counseling, addiction treatment, and outpatient therapy, giving her a deep understanding of the emotional complexity many clients carry.

Mary Emeline is known for creating a warm, relational, and emotionally safe counseling environment where clients feel genuinely seen, valued, and supported. She believes meaningful healing happens within the context of trust and authentic connection and considers it a privilege to walk alongside people as they process pain, deepen self-understanding, and move toward lasting growth.

Her counseling approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique story and needs. She utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment-based therapy. She is also Gottman Level 1 Certified and a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, equipping her to support individuals and couples in building healthier, more connected relationships.

For clients who desire it, she thoughtfully integrates Christian faith and biblical principles into the counseling process, blending evidence-based care with spiritual support.
