As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Alabama, Teal combines clinical expertise with a deeply relational style. He holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling, and for those who desire it, he integrates a Christian worldview into therapy, helping clients connect their faith with their personal growth and healing. His professional path
includes founding and leading The Alabama Family Resource Center for over 20 years, directing multidisciplinary programs for The Salvation Army, and serving as a trusted consultant and expert witness in high-stakes legal settings.
Teal’s work has taken him into courtrooms, treatment programs, family living rooms, and counseling offices. He has supervised countless therapists, developed community programs addressing substance abuse and domestic violence, and provided trauma-informed care to individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life. His background in both clinical counseling and pastoral care enables him to meet clients with compassion while offering the kind of direct, on-point insight that sparks real change.
At Still Waters Counseling and Education Center, Teal works with adults, couples, and families on issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, self-esteem, parenting, relationship challenges, and life transitions. He serves clients in person and online throughout Alabama.
